Food-grade stainless steel enclosure

A SUS316-standard stainless steel enclosure and a full slim touch display, which are part of the basic equipment of the ORCA PRO series, protect the devices from oxidation and corrosion caused by water or acidic and alkaline liquids in chemical plants. The brushed stainless steel hinders the spread of germs and bacteria, which is particularly advantageous for industries with high hygiene standards. Compared to Type 304, this stainless steel also contains 3% molybdenum, further improving its corrosion resistance.

Due to a seamless construction between the touch panel and the housing covers, residual contamination can be completely avoided. Additionally, the ORCA PRO series is equipped with a heat sink that eliminates sources of dirt through internal cooling, which would typically occur through external heat sinks. The fanless design ensures low noise levels during operation.

In addition to a classic VESA mount, the panel PC systems can also be securely mounted at their destination using a wall-mount frame or a table-mount stand. The vertical orientation of the external inputs and outputs allows for space-saving and easy installation of the devices.

Protected connectors against external influences

In the food and beverage industry, as well as in tool and factory automation machinery, there are strict requirements for housing technology and hardware equipment. The ORCA PRO panel PC models meet these demands.

Through a combination of zinc alloy and nickel-plated metal, all panel PC interfaces as well as the AC/DC power adapter are extremely robust against mechanical deformation. The ORCA PRO series offers standard serial ports, multiple USB inputs (available with USB 3.0 upon request), and LAN ports for gigabit bandwidth.

All connections utilize standardized M12 screw locks with IP67 protection, making it nearly impossible for dust and liquids to penetrate the sensitive electronics. This also ensures the mechanical stability of the housing, as well as the optical properties and bandwidths of fiber optic and copper cables.

Easy surface operation with gloves

The LED LCD front panels are available in screen diagonals of 22" and 24", and depending on the model size, they can be offered in various resolutions (up to Full HD maximum). Standard features include a projected capacitive touchscreen (PCAP). This allows for both multi-touch applications and operation with latex gloves.

Indoors, a screen brightness of 400 cd/m² is usually sufficient. However, if the panel PC systems are exposed to weather or direct sunlight, visibility significantly decreases. To prevent this effect, a high-brightness LCD display with luminance of up to 1000 cd/m² can be installed.

In the case of kiosk or ticket counter systems, users often value protection against vandalism. As a result, BRESSNER Technology also offers the option of having the displays of the ORCA PRO models made from tempered glass.
