Description
Sangoma SBC Series – Session Border Controller
The Sangoma Vega and NetBorder Sangoma SBC product line is designed to provide SMBs, Enterprise, Carriers and Service Providers with high performance, highly secure, scalable and cost-effective solutions. Sangoma Session Border Controllers enable VoIP calls to pass through the firewall, route VoIP traffic across the network, and enhance network security.
All Sangoma Session Border Controllers feature expandable, session-based licensing as well as hardware-based transcoding and media handling (except Vega SMB). Also supported is a wide range of SIP trunking topologies and integration with Skype for Business and Microsoft Lync environments. Comprehensive security configurations and a full suite of GUI-based tools and APIs for provisioning, management, reporting and troubleshooting round out the feature set.
Enhance security to protect your VoIP network
Often, enterprises forget the importance of an SBC when moving from their legacy phone system to VoIP and simply use their existing rewall for protection – and make a big mistake! Many ports in the rewall need to be opened for VoIP to work, which opens a wide-open door for hackers into your network and puts your business at risk. The other pitfall of using your existing Rewall instead of an SBC is that phone calls may not connect or there may be audio problems.
