Digi PortServer® TS 2 P MEI – Universal, high performance RS-232/422/485 serial to Ethernet connectivity with versatile power options
The PortServer TS P MEI makes it easy to connect RS-232/422/485 serial devices to an IP network. Supporting versatile power options such as Power over Ethernet and serial port power, this serial server can be adapted to many applications where traditional power options are not available.Power over Ethernet (802.3af, mid-span and end-span support) allows only one Ethernet cable to be run to the device server for power and communications. With the serial port power feature, the PortServer TS P MEI can power a device through the serial port using the Ring Indicator (RI) or DTR pins. Power over Ethernet can be used in conjunction with a conventional power supply to provide redundant power to the device.
Available in two-port and four-port versions, the PortServer TS P MEI provides universal, high-performance multiport serial-to-Ethernet connectivity. It is ideal for applications that require COM ports, serial tunneling or TCP/UDP socket functionality.
