PB-2500J Series: UPS emergency power module as PCI Express plug-in card
The PB-2500J-PCIe series is an innovative emergency power solution for demanding industrial applications. The module uses supercapacitor technology and remains operational in the harshest operating environments with temperatures ranging from -25 °C to 65 °C – over an extremely long lifetime. Compared to traditional battery-based UPS systems, the PB-2500J series provides sustained excellent reliability in extreme ambient temperatures and does not suffer the disadvantage of battery performance degradation over time.
The PB-2500J series consists of eight 100F supercapacitors that can provide 2500 watt-seconds of stored energy to power your computer in the event of a power outage. Depending on the power requirements of your system, the supply duration can range from several seconds and up to minutes. What’s really new about the PB-2500J, however, is its patented CAP sensor technology. This is an onboard processor that continuously monitors power consumption and can adapt to the behavior of the system. In the event of a power failure, the module maximizes system uptime by determining as accurately as possible the time at which the system should shut down to prevent data loss. The PB-2500J series is available in two variants: the PB-2500J PCIe module is a plug-and-play PCIe card designed specifically for Nuvo 6000 devices (except Nuvo-6108GC/IGN), and the PB-2500J CSM module is designed for the Nuvo 5000 and Nuvo 7000 series.
