Description
Active PICMG Backplane with increased amount of PCI/PCIe slots
The PBPE-13A4 model is a PICMG backplane with a large number of slots, which can also be fit into a 4U chassis for industrial applications.
An active chipset on the backplane enables an increased number of PCI slots (up to 18 pieces) compared to traditional backplanes, which only allow passive components. With a total of 13 PICMG 1.3 slots (non-server grade), the PBPE-13A4 has five PCIe x4, three PCIe x16 and four PCI interfaces as well as four USB 2.0 ports and one dual SATA port.
