How to put edge computing concepts into practice via GPU computers

Edge computing is a form of computing in which resources are provided at the edge of the network. Unlike traditional centralized data processing concepts, it does not require data to be sent to central data centers or cloud data centers. With edge computing, the processing of data takes place as close as possible to the point of origin, making it a real alternative to traditional cloud computing with centralized servers. This allows large amounts of data to be processed locally with minimal latency and the results reported back without delay. In this way, network resources can also be conserved.

In principle, with edge computing, data processing takes place at the edge of the network. Which device is responsible for processing the data depends on the application and the implementation of the concept.

GPU computers support brandnew NVIDIA GPU cards

Supports brandnew NVIDIA® GPU cards

Our GPU computers utilize the latest technology in GPU computing. Equipped with powerful GPUs from NVIDIA® and AMD® , they are designed for intensive graphics and compute-heavy applications. Support for CUDA and OpenCL enables efficient processing of complex calculations and algorithms.

These include NVIDIA® RTX-3090, NVIDIA® Tesla, Intel Xeon Phi, AMD® FirePro, GeForce GTX Titan X, Nallatech FPGA and GeForce GTX 1080. Selected products even provide several PCIe x16 Gen4 or Gen3 host ports for best connectivity options while also supporting a peer-to-peer transfer.

Thousands of processing units in one server rack

Our GPU computers can increase the performance of your systems by thousands of processor cores if required. This means that you are also best equipped for applications in high performance computing (HPC) segments – for example in deep learning, for the management of XL data centers or the fully automated exploration and extraction of resources. Our complete GPU solutions meet the highest demands and also work perfectly with IBM servers such as the Power8 S822L or Power8 S824L models.
