An industrial router is a device with a rugged chassis and internal components that are designed for extreme temperatures, humidity and dust while offering a secure connectivity and communication via a cellular network (cellular router). Industrial routers form the communication backbone for all smart city applications that are carried out outdoors, such as street lighting, measurements and wastewater management. They are also used in real industrial applications such as mining, oil and gas production, agriculture and digital signage.
The cellular routers have been specifically designed for the transport industry supporting multiple requirements from one device. This includes routing and GPS for on-board systems as well as security and WLAN for passengers. Our latest routers segment public and private data communication via two CAT 11 cellular modules with 600 Mbit/s. All models offer remote management tools for remote monitoring, remote maintenance and for quick and easy firmware updates.
Enterprise routers ensure secure and reliable network connectivity in in-house facilities and office complexes. They are designed to cope with high traffic and complex network requirements in large organizations. Typically, such devices have advanced features such as virtual private networks (VPNs), quality of service (QoS) controls and security features. Ethernet switches are network devices that control data traffic between different devices and networks.
