NRU-110V Series – Edge AI Computing in a Rugged Design

The NRU-110V series is an NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Xavier™ edge AI computing platform with support for 8 GMSL vehicle cameras and low power requirements. This series is a turnkey solution with compute core, onboard GMSL de-serializers, and a pre-installed board support package to support selected cameras. The NRU-110V draws its GPU computing power of 11 TFLOPS at FP16 or 22 TOPS at INT8 from an NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Xavier™ SOM that consumes only 30 W of power. The energy-efficient design not only extends operating time for battery-powered machines such as autonomous mobile robots, but also reduces costs for applications that are deployed in large numbers, such as intelligent V2X technologies.

The NRU-110V’s video input is designed to drive commercial vehicle cameras, offering features such as waterproof design, HDR technology, automatic white balance, and LED flicker mitigation. This means that your AI applications will always be provided with optimal quality image data, regardless of lighting conditions, in rain, bright sunlight, or pitch black night. The NRU-110V supports multiple vehicle camera sensors, including SONY ISX019 as well as On Semi AR0147 and AR0231. With its unique onboard triggering system, the NRU-110V is capable of simultaneously capturing images from eight GMSL cameras, with millisecond timing differences between channels.

Equipped with 10G Ethernet, the NRU-110V can act as a camera sensor hub, transmitting real-time images to a more powerful computer with CPU/GPU combination. In addition to supporting up to eight vehicle cameras, the unit also has an isolated CAN bus for on-board communications, an RS-232 port for GPS input signals, and isolated DIOs for connecting sensors or actuators. The NRU-110V supports GPS PPS input signals, allowing synchronization of the time of multiple platforms. For data storage, the NRU-110V offers an M.2 2280 NVMe socket for fast read/write access in addition to the 32 GB eMMC on the Xavier module. In addition, the system has a mini PCIe socket for a Wi-Fi or 4G module.

With its support for eight GMSL vehicle cameras, significant TFLOPS performance for inferencing, power-efficient design, and 10G Ethernet connectivity for data transmission, the NRU110V is ideal for AI-based vision applications that require continuous interaction with the environment, such as AMR, ADAS, and intelligent V2X technologies.
